[cut open] Fram TG10246 Chevy Cruze 3,500 miles

This is the filter out of my 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.4L Turbo with a total of 132,500 miles and 3,500 miles on the filter. The filter looked perfect in construction and after use. There is metal in the filter you can see if you zoom in, which I wonder if this is normal?

As I mentioned in your other thread: "I've maybe seen a flake or two of aluminum inside a filter on an engine that's way past break-in mileage. I don't consider that abnormal."

The metal looks acceptable to me.
Did you put that hole in the filter?

When I had my Cruze, the OLM would signal a change at about 6000/6500 accumulated miles and I'd only change the filter every other time.

It's not a hole, just some paper debris from the coping saw I used to cut the paper
