Day to day I use Chrome. Some sites and features have problems working with it, in that case I use Firefox. Pretty much everything works with the FF.

wont google then track all my information? I do not trust googles operations, though their search engine is good.

I use Chromium, which is the open-source basis for Chrome. Chromium doesn't have all of that phoning-home business that Chrome has; as far as I know!

I would be more concerned with your ISP. The are the ones caving to subpoenas.

I use Chrome on the Mac that my wife and I share. She uses Safari, which allow us both to stay logged in to our favorite sites, without having to use individual user accounts.

We also have FF 4 Beta on the Mac, but neither of us ever uses it.

I can't figure out why so many people raise such a fuss over Google. I have never felt like they violated my privacy in any way.
