Crown Vic is gone. Caddy has taken its place.

Pretty much the same engine, but as the other poster said, configured for longitudinal layout in the Sigma platform. With a true dual exhaust, it puts out 302 HP, which I think is more than in the Buick's transverse configuration.

On the first tank of gas running around town I averaged about 18.2 mpg. Put fresh plugs in and changed the air filter, and so far on this tank I'm averaging about 21 mpg around town. Also did a mega dose of FP+ with the first tank to clean out the fuel rails and injectors. Between that and the fresh plugs, engine has smoothed out considerably and is much peppier. Next on the list to be done in the coming months is a transmission service.

you call this good?

congrats to OP, I rented a couple STS's and enjoyed them

Great way to travel at high speed over long distances, and a great alternative to the BMW 5er

True. Your signature is evidence of that.

Three dead-reliable vehicles. I replaced my Dak's ORIGINAL water pump & belt last year. Contrast that to a 7 year old car that has lost FOUR wheel bearings, the cam chain tensioners, and guzzles oil!

Yes I do. Total expenses at 130,000 miles [excluding fluids, tires, brakes, air filter and wiper blades] has been $50 for sparkplugs[did this himself], $300 for a wheel bearing. I wasn't aware this car was a money pit.

I love Panther Fords. One of the few moders cars to make my short list of cars I love, and maybe the only one on there with no possibility of getting one in stick shift.

Me too. However, to each their own.
