Ok so I have two oil filters I want to cross over to a fram ultra.

Kawasaki OEM 49065-7010 crosses to a tough guard PH4967

Kawasaki OEM 49065-7007 crosses to a tough guard PH8170

I can't seem to find the ultra part numbers though. Any help? Thanks

It seems they don't make an xg8170 I only can find the PH8170

This filter is 3/4" longer but would otherwise fit. I run it on my Kawasaki motor in the John Deere.

The base gasket is a little bit bigger in diameter on the 3614. I'm assuming that's ok? People have told me that the only difference between the two Kawasaki oil filters are the length, but I've put two together and the 7010 version is actually narrower.

You would need to measure the filter adapter base to be sure but most are big enough to accommodate a wider filter.

Almost any Dodge application will work here to find the right size.

Supposedly Kawasaki has two filters and they are both the same filter, just one is longer depending on if it has the room or not, but I compared the longer one and the shorter one and the shorter one is wider but about 1/4" or so. So all the really matters is the center hole size, thread pitch, and whether or not the gasket diameter fits on the base plate?

I would say yes that is all that matters. I should say that I have put on a filter sandwich adapter. So it's bigger than the OE base but still is sealed well at bitht he block and filter.
