It's interesting that the dirt holding capacities between the 3 filters isn't linear.

The TG is shocking.

ebay... They have a case of six Fram Pro Series for $35 and free shipping. That is if your looking for the 7317 filter.

The Ultra is much higher due to the full synthetic media - ie, "depth filtering" media.

The TG is somewhat higher than the EG because for a give filter model, the TG probably has more pleats & media area.

Yes, the high efficiency filters also do a better job at capturing the particles less than 20 microns, so in the long run they should also keep engine wear down more than a much less efficient filter.
