I might be interested in the CrossClimate 3 Sports. I doubt they are in my size though.
How much ice do you get? I'd expect on surfaces other than smooth ice they should be adequate but not up to the performance of winter tires.CC2s on the 17 Malibu today. This car only has 26K on it but the factory tires were not good for NH terrain in winter. Hopefully this will be better.
Compared to factory tires you will think you have 4 wheel drive. I am very impressed with the winter traction on my CC2's in all snow conditions. I run mine about 10% over factory door spec pressure and have very even wear for the 40K km's or 24K miles on them so far.CC2s on the 17 Malibu today. Last year was bad for ice. It was a warmer winter. Leaving the driveway this is the first challenge, climbing out of the neighborhood. The town did use a special asphalt with a lot of granite. But still no momentum. How much ice do you get? I'd expect on surfaces other than smooth ice they should be adequate but not up to the performance of winter tires.
Same experience with my daughter's Elantra she was living off college campus had no issues getting to class in all sorts of weather especially snow. Definitely pleased with the purchase n if I remember correctly it was the original cross climate not the CC2Compared to factory tires you will think you have 4 wheel drive. That’s what I wanted to hear. My GFs son will be driving that car to college about 10 miles away.Same experience with my daughter's Elantra she was living off college campus had no issues getting to class in all sorts of weather especially snow. Reason I purchased them I'm way to far away to dig her out and I needed a piece of mind that she could get around safe if needed in bad weather. The tires definitely did there job with no issues not one flat or slow leak and wore out evenly throughout. That’s what I wanted to hear. Ditto. The transformed our ‘15 CRV. We later put a pair on a RWD sedan. Recently we put a pair on a friend’s Camry as a gift. 2 other folks here installed a set based on our experiences.Same experience with my daughter's Elantra she was living off college campus had no issues getting to class in all sorts of weather especially snow. The Michelin CrossClimate3 tire launched in Europe in July 2025. While the Michelin CrossClimate3 tire has been available in Europe since July 2025, North America will continue with the Michelin CrossClimate2 tire for the next several years.
European market is more competitive. Here they can go with strategy: “we can get away with it.”

Are those a common curb style in your state, I have never seen road curbs like that?Last year was bad for ice. It was a warmer winter. They always retool for new tire. Probably riding CC2 train as there is no dip in sale. Why investing?I think the reason we don’t get the CrossClimate 3 is simply tariffs. All sizes listed on Tire Rack are made in North America.

At that point why not sell all 3 in North America? They already make them elsewhere. Personally I think they’d be $100 more per tire retail to import than an already expensive domestic tire. They always retool for new tire. Probably riding CC2 train as there is no dip in sale. Why investing?
Sounds like the FAQ wasn’t enough. What do they do next, put this announcement on their home page? Wonder if they will cave from the pressure and bring the CC3 here?
So after this comment I took a drive and would agree with his comments. Took the car out for a ride today now that the CC2s had some miles on them. It was much better. The noise and vibrations I could feel before were not noticeable. Winter is very challenging here so it will be interesting to see how it does compared to last winter.I asked about the CC2s this morning after his first commute to class. His reply was they were louder, more cabin noise, and more vibration in the wheel. He wasn’t complaining. I just wanted his opinion.
