CrossClimate 3 Tire Release?

I’m curious to see what size the CC3 Sport comes in. I might try them on my Model Y Performance if they make my sizes.

Some more info from the Michelin press introduction:

I want to get all weather tires for the NX before next winter. Hoping the CC3 becomes available in the US in the Fall. I'd hate to have to buy CC2 at this point, and then having a problem finding an extra one in a year or two if need be.

From Michelin Customer Support just now:

:(
Same with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+. An upgraded version is available in Europe, but not NA. Tyre Reviews rates the newest version quite a bit higher than the 06+.

Regardless, I put the 06+ on the Audi and absolutely fell in love with them. If not for the cost and feeling "wasteful", I'd take those nasty-ol Bridgestone Alenzas off the Pilot and put the Contis on it today.

It is probably the best-selling tire in North America, next to Defender. Why change anything when the competition is not offering anything groundbreaking? Europe is far more competitive, so they have to keep investing there.
Yup. On the other hand, they assured me that CC2 will continue to be available in the US for years to come.

Pretty sad for the competition here that they've had years to come out with a CC2 competitor, and all they have to show for it now are a bunch of CC2 clones that Michelin apparently isn't even concerned about...

I kind of hope the new CC3 wears out faster than the CC2...I have put 14400 miles on my CC2's in the 10 months that I have had them and they still have ~9/32 which seems impossible as they started with 10/32" I run them hard on my cx5 turbo and they seem to wear like iron...when I first put them on I did not notice a dip in mpg but at some point my mpg took a 3-4 mpg dip on long road trips...with everything else staying the same (same routes, speeds) again that is a head scratcher...I live in Montana and man do they do well on icy and snow packed roads...

I noticed quite a bit of fuel economy hit as soon as I put CC2 on the Crosstrek.

Just an FYI:

OE tires - the ones that come on new cars from the assembly plant - are designed for low rolling resistance. The car makers specify the RR and the tire manufacturers do that by sacrificing treadwear and/or traction, especially wet traction.

That means that people normally take a hit in mpg when they replace OE tires with aftermarket tires.

Ouch. Neither myself or my dad have had any neglible mpg issues. He’s had his for like 40k miles now too on his Honda Crosstour.

Same. 10% new and never really tapered off. They did wear like iron, road like they were filled with concrete. I ditched them @ 8/32nds, went with Conti pro contacts and have never been happier. They may work for some applications, absolutely did not for mine. Just the extra resistance made the entire drivetrain noisier in addition to the awful hum from the tires.

I got the Goodyear WeatherReady2 and let me say it is a seriously good tire. I know a lot of folks have sworn off Goodyear because of some political things that happened a while ago but this is one tire that is absolutely incredible in the snow and I honesty think is quieter than other comfort-focused tires.
Do you work for Goodyear?

Shopping for 265/50R20s for a 22 Acadia. Got the 20x9.5 +12 offset Black Rhino wheels for them to go on.
The GY WeatherReady look like they might do the job in heavy west coast rain.
