For the past several months, I have been purchasing the 5 quart jugs at WalMart....whatever was the best price or the best mail in rebate. Two of our cars take 4 quarts on the button. Because of my mix of Syntec, Mobil 1 and Ultra....5 quart jugs sitting the garage with about a quart in them....I lost it one day and poured them together to get rid of the excess jugs. Now I have a cross breed oil.

It is probaby.....

two quarts of Mobil 1 0W30
one quart of Syntec GC 0W30
one quart of Ultra 5W20
and....one quart of Mobil 1 0W20

I am guessing this brew is about a 1W26

So....here is the question....

Should I save this stuff to pour into my lawn mower and generator in the spring or should I use in the Accent or Yaris?

What do you think?

So Syntec and PU will help with iron wear that M1 promotes.

Both the Accent and the Yaris can do either a 20 or 30wt. So we are good there.

I guess my big question is.....different companies, different weights, etc... Having these all together....would it create an inferior oil?

Do you think I am fine to do a 6 month, 5k mile OCI?

You are fine. I've done witches brew before in my cars. Oils can be mixed. I am running a mix right now:
2 qrts of Pennzoil Platinum 5w-20 and 2 qrts of Valvoline 5w30 conventional

Next OCI will be 1qrt Valvoline conventional, 2 qrts of M1 5000 and a leftover quart of whatever SM synthetic oil I can buy on sale at the time (for oil change on the other car).

I'll run both mixes to 6 mo/5,000 miles.

Cool.....

I have another jug that is 50% Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 and 50% Pennzoil Platinum 5w30.

It will probably go into the Yaris.

I am thinking I will put the "brew" into the Accent.
