Craiglist is not that bad...

I think Craigslist is like garage sale without driving around looking for it. If you need/want something, a quick search may get you what you need.

You can sometimes find some items you like/need at very good price at a garage sale, most of the times it was mostly not what you like to own.
 
I have bought boating supplies, a boat, and a lawn mower. I find that sellers who are moving usually take the best price and their items are usually in good condition.

My friend has gotten the most out of CL by landing a $58,xxx a year job after being out of work for 14 months. It made for him a very good Xmas this year.
 
To date, in the last 4 years I have sold on craigslist:

1 house.
3 pickup trucks.
1 station wagon.
1 motorcycle
countless engines
countless power equipment
countless stereos
countless household items

fees to date: $0

alas, ebay is the largest owner of c/l now....I fear that is about to become a thing of the past...

this reminded me, I needed to list 4 tires and wheels in one of my sheds....
