TL;DR - CQ Premium is higher quality, has better filter media, a thicker can, a thicker media, and has holes vs louvers (for those who have a preference).

Not at all. I just hope Premium Guard can keep up the production quality in the following years and that no private equity firm takes it over.

Agreed...stock up with a few years worth...I have plenty of all flavors if you know what I mean...Great product....

I've been stocking up the most I can from RockAuto closeout of the CQ Premiums. Up to 17 total filters, I think (don't really know ), but that's both my leftover WIX and all the CQs I have. It's sadly only a years worth, or there about. 10 filters/year for cars, 1 for mower, 1 or 2 for jetski, 3 for a buddy's car.

I'd buy cases worth but I rotate my cars regularly so I no longer go crazy like @KCJeep and others...

Yep, still some sloppy black glue on the Motorcraft that comes off easily in use. Not as bad as some, but sill present. Motorcraft louvers look good though.
