couple of questions

Just bled my brakes, big thumbs up for the pb blaster, worked like a charm to loosen up those bleeders! Anyway, I was wondering where I can pick up some of those rubber nipples for the bleeders? mine pretty much crumbled off when I removed them. Also, how often do you guys change power steering fluid? I have never done it and was wondering how its done. Any do's or donts to know before I break something?
one more thing, I sprayed the bleeders with a bunch of contact brake cleaner when I was finished, hoping to help keep the bleeders from welding themselves on. Didnt someone on here say that brake fluid is one of the reasons the bleeders rust on so bad? Is contact cleaner bad to get on any other components? will it harm the seals in the calipers? I washed it off really well just in case but was wondering how hard it is on plastics/rubber

Orielly's sells a general purpose plastic cap that I use to cover bleeders. It's out on the floor and comes in several sizes. $2 for half a dozen.

I can never find actual bleeder valve covers. I've thought that motorcycle shops might sell them. Parts house people look at me like I crazy when I ask for them.

PB Blaster missed one of the bleeder valves on a front disc brake. I tried soaking for several days. Tightening and loosening. Nothing works on this one.

Dunno from bleeders but I usually, every year, suction the reservoir for the power steering, get it empty, fill it, go for a ride that exercises the steering, and then go back and do it again (drain and refill, that is).

Someone around here has a formula tell us how much was exchanged, I'm sure, but that's a pretty thorough and gentle flush if done every year or so. Beats letting it go out to whatever the OEM says and THEN start figuring how to get it all out if the rack and so forth.

For bleeder caps: try vinyl vacuum caps. I bought a set of Speed Bleeders and they came with that kind of cap.

Any good auto parts store will have the rubber dust caps available.
