Not helpful in winter but I notice it's a lot less crowded when over 100 degrees.

Costco is 1 of only 2 stocks where I’ve been paid a special dividend. VMware is the other. Taxes were quite substantial but that’s not really a reason to not look upon it favorably. When’s the last time you told your employer don’t give me the bonus the taxes are killing meYeah, I wish the other half was Costco I don’t know maybe I’m getting old but I like Stocks that are on cruise control going up

Same here. Costco is standing room only. The lines to get out reach the rear of the store. Gas lines are around the block. I don't get it.
I'll give them credit, they really try. They built a brand new gas station at the one by me with 3x the pumps of the old one, now you can actually buy gas without a wait. The store is still packed, but they'll have every register open with 2 people at each so they move pretty quick.

I've been noticing a bunch of nice new products at our local Costco's catering to the growing local Indian population.

This is a great point. Costco is a premium brand, along with it's Kirkland Signature brand. The shoppers at the stores are affluent and although there are a lot of household necessities being purchased, many are indulgent items.
I’m up to like 5 gallons of milk a week, 132oz of ketchup might last 2-3 weeks!

I live in a smaller city and our Costco draws from folks 200 miles away, a draw from about 500,000 people in total. Just installed a 24 pump station. Rarely a wait or not more than 5 minutes. They opened here in 1999, and recently completely replaced the paved parking lot, asphalt up here gets cracked and rutted due to our cold winters and freeze thaw cycles. The recently installed self checkout was a game changer for me, no more wait on checkout. They just do things right.
Biggest gripe is that it seems like alot of shoppers treat Costco like a day at the park, sightseeing, zombie like. Slows me down where I like to be in and out in 15 minutes. Told a co-worker I was doing a quick Costco run at lunch. He half joking said see you in 2 hours.
I was back in 20 minutes, lol. Took it as a bit of a challenge.

Maybe not based on your location, but where I live the park sight seeing zombies are the people working from home. People like myself are in a hurry to get back to the office. There are 5-10 of us on a weekday 11-1 pm EST. The rest are in no hurry. I figured it out, how to have a cooler in my trunk and the right amount of ice packs for the cooler to stay 39F all day. This saves me from bringing food up to my floor. The cooler even fits in the E92 so it’s the right size. Labels all peeled off but from the 80’s so hard to tell it’s capacity.
My mom has been a member since the 90’s, but my wife and me 2009. Last year we barely made executive worth it, only $63 rebate. Once maybe 2021 $139.

Interesting the demographics have certainly changed.
When I was in Mississauga ON, as I entered, there was a warning to watch one’s belongings. They had 2 locations when I was there. The other near a Mercedes Benz dealer had no such warning and seemed more upscale.
Costco does vary products based on the location. Pricing too.
When they sold the big black plastic tubs for $6.29, they sold out everywhere. They were like low $10’s at HD. I drove much further to the wealthy town and there were as many as one wanted. I actually bought 22, still have 9. My theory is rich people don’t need to store items like that. They can toss and donate
And have large homes.
