Corvette ZR1 oil recommendation?

Hello, what oil do you recommend for a Corvette ZR1 that will be driven daily as well as see some light track use?

The manual specs Mobil 1 5w30, however it does not specify whether that is EP 5w30 or regular Mobil 1 5w30.

As of right now the ZR1 is being broken in with the factory oil which should be Mobil 1 5w30, again, I am not sure if it is EP or not.

i would use normal Mobil 1 5w30 and stay with it, the ZR1 is a pretty advanced peice of engineering and i have a hard time thinking that those engineers specified Mobil 1 5w30 without having a pretty good reason to.

That motor requires GM 4718M for warranty coverage and neither of those oils is accepted.

The car came with a FF of Mobil 1. Seems Mobil 1 5w30, plain old regular, no Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck or HM or EP

Therefore, since it is BRAND NEW....

If it were me:

USE THAT!!!!!!

No GC (you simply do not need it here.)
No 15W-50s, RedLine or Mobil 1 (Again, Not Needed!!)
No RP.
No AMSOIL.
No Additives...
No Pennzoil Ultra OR Platinum..

Your car came with Mobil 1 5w30, and its Brand New.

90% Chance that if you keep it that way... And nothing goes wrong..

You will never have to open your engine up, as so many people end up having to do, for one reason or another.
