Hi everybody, it`s once again time for new tires on my RX. I have the Michelin MXV4 S8 tires on it now. Which I like very much, they perform very well, handle well, low rolling resistance etc. However, the 30k miles I get outta them kinda stinks. I`m considering the Cooper CS4 Touring tire`s for this round, what do you guy`s think of this tire?

We have them on my wife's Maxx. They're smooth and wet weather traction has been great. They're much better than the Bridgestone SE200's that were on there.
We've yet to run them in the snow, but I have no doubt they'll do fine.

Have them on the wife's Saturn. Good wet and snow traction but I think I'm going to get about 35,000 max on them and that is with my wife driving (quite sedate).
I complained when I paid for the V-rated Cooper CS4s for a Camry.
60k later they were getting loud but still had 3 to 4/32nds all around.
They were great in the wet, quiet for the first 45k miles and a dependable performer. I would recommend them.

My dad bought the CS4's for his 07 Camry but in the T rated version. Which has a 80k warranty. Performed very well in Cleveland winters. He wanted to take the Coopers with him when he traded the car in for a new Camry.

I have Cooper CS4's H rated on my Mazda. I installed them last year and have about 15k miles on them. These are very good tires overall. Quiet and wearing slowly and evenly so far.
The only gripe about them, which is a highly personal thing, is that they are too soft compared to OEM H rated Toyos. However Toyos had a lot more negatives, so I can live with slightly softer Coopers.

I bought General Grabber's for my RX a few weeks ago, I'm waiting till the flakes start to fall before I install them.

I've got a set of the CS4 T-rated tires on my 96. Excellent tire, great traction in the rain and in snow. I feel they grab better in the snow than the Altimax HPs I have on my 07. So far I've got about 12k miles on them and they appear to have not worn much at all. When I need new tires on my 07, I'll be putting a set CS4s on that car as well. I recommended the CS4s to friend with an 05 Malibu, he loves them so far. Did great in the snow for him as well.

They feel softer than OEM Toyos when going into corners at higher speeds or braking hard.
Last year, shortly after I put CS4's on, I was re-bedding the brakes as they started to pulsate a bit and during hard braking, at the edge of locking up the wheels, the car was wondering slightly. It was still tracking straight, but you could feel it in the steering wheel. The OEM's never did that.
In every day driving I notice it less, but the steering feels less responsive and less connected to the road.
On the other hand, they absorb road bumps much better and transmit less vibration to the cabin.
