'coolant mailfuction" check engine on 2000 accord

Hey all ,
Last week i got 2000 acord SE with 88k on it.

Check engine light came on and my OBD software said its p1486 and its coolant mailfuction.

Coolat has been drained and replaced by peak stuff , and error is back again after about a day. both fans come on.

Except for replacing thermostate i cannot find anything else online except for faulty ECM on 6th gen accord.

Any other ideas before I change the thermostat? thanks

Where's the coolant temp sensor, if it's on top of the engine there could be an air bubble under it. Unthread it and make sure coolant burps out.
