Coolant for iron block and head small block chevy

Is this coolant ok for an all iron SBC with an aluminum radiator?

Is it an OAT based coolant. normally you'd go with a color coordinated one or use a universal coolant. Having a little bit of residual coolant would be enough to cause problems with the coolant you have if you know for sure it isn't the universal type.


I'd suggest this.


I'd go a bit heavier than 50/50. 60/40 or 70/30 is better for corrosion.

Should be fine. A lot of diesels are iron blocks with aluminum radiators these days and as far as I know all the medium duty and bigger trucks are coming from the factory with red extended life coolant.

I have been using the peak version called final charge in all my vehicles gas and diesel for years now with good results.
 
OK, I see the issue. Signatures do not show unless the box is checked. The box is not checked in my account settings.

So, I have no idea when you say that, “in my signature”, what you are referring to.
