this is the best answer here. when i bought new "LRR" purecontacts with ecoplus to replace worn out ecopia OEM tires in my prius, i lost 15% MPG in my city/suburb driving routine. it was very consistent and real day after day in my predictable commute. if someone else told me this i would say impossible, but it happened. i posted about it here too over a year ago. now, after 30,000 miles, the MPG hit is more reasonable at 5-10%. the tread wear is fantastic with lots of life left, will probably last 50-60,000 miles.
