Good deals right now...I should have waited!

I don't think that rebate applies to the DWS06. It applies to the Extreme Contact Sport 02, which is an ultra high performance summer tire.

I know this thread is about a year old however last year on 1/19/24 I had the Continental Extreme Contact Plus installed on my Infiniti QX60. Today I had it in for service only to be told I have 4/32 worth of tread left on the tires. So in less than a year I put 25,000 miles on them and they already need to be replaced. I now have to file a warranty claim with Continental.

I've got 18,000 mi on them on my 2023 Civic Touring Sedan, about 18 months, rotated every 5k, it goes in for service this month and my Technician always measures tread depth so I'll keep you posted.

I thought tread warranty required all the way to 2/32"?

For the poster above with the QX60: My wife had two Infiniti QX60s--an early 2018 FWD and a late 2020 AWD. I won't get into the OE tires or why we replaced them, because you guys would probably nod off! Bottom line is we had really good success on the first car with Michelin Defender LTX tires. Even with FWD, they were surprisingly good in the snow, even in the Colorado mountains. At lease-end, they had a little over 30K miles on them, and it looked like they were legitmate 50K mile tires, due to the 10/32 tread depth when new.

Her second QX60 was AWD and we put Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires on it. Strange tread, yes, but they worked very well in all weather conditions. Some of that was in no small part due to the excellent Nissan AWD system. When the lease was up, we had around 35K miles on those tires and they still had lots of tread. The guy who came out to inspect the car at lease-end made a comment about the tires looking almost new.

Not trying to be a turd and I know Continental lists them as suitable for crossovers but on something that's heavy and all wheel drive, I would never expect any more than 30k out of a 'performance' tire.

If you're looking for maximum life (which makes sense if you're putting on 25k miles a year), a Cross Contact LX25 would be much more suitable.

Son's new-to-him S3 w/DWS06+, no drama in the mid-Atlantic snowmagedon (not really here in the Richmond, VA area...just a light covering/some ice) to get him to work this week. They are a v. good UHP all season w/r to reasonable snow manners if you take it easy, keep your speeds down and don't follow too close.

Absolutely. An "LTX" tire would last longer and work just fine on a QX60. When I bought the Defender LTX M/S tires that I mentioned above, more than one person asked why would I want light truck tires on a mid-size SUV. Then I read the customer reviews at TireRack.com, which were overwhelmingly positive.

Present day: My wife's new Kia Telluride came with Michelin Primacy LTX tires, so Kia certainly made the right choice. Ride and handling are both superb with these so-called "light truck" tires. Obviously, longevity is still an unknown.

Just had a service today, rotation included. Multi-Point inspection showed all 4 at 7/32" at 18,500 miles, i think they are 9 or 10/32 new, so I'm very pleased. Handled the light snow we had today without any dramatics, still ride and handle well, no noticeable noise increase. One of the best wet/ dry traction tires I've ever had. When replacement time comes, I'd buy them again. Probably should mention, Continental Extremecontact DWS06 plus.

Yep the set on mine are approaching 5 yrs/50K miles since being put on and tread depth is averaging 4/32". Will be replacing them in the next few months and no doubt will go back with the same exact thing. Definitely the best performing/most even wearing tire I've had on any vehicle for decades regardless of brand.

My wife’s pure contacts came with 10/32 new. With 7500 miles on them, they just measured 10/32 on my steelman digital guage. Either this guage is off, could be, or they literally haven’t worn. Or, they had more than 10/32 from the factory? Got me, but I’m happy.

I bought a set of four 20in for my Mazda CX-50 in early December. They're the first set of Continental tires I've owned and the loudest new tires I've ever bought.

They chirp and wump wump wump on any smooth pavement. Was hoping they would get better as they broke in, but they're pretty awful noise wise. Traction is great though. I had to replace one at 500 miles due to a nail in the sidewall. The newer one is quiet. The rest are loud. Guess I need to go back to Discount Tire. Had them shipped from Tire Rack.

We put them on my wife's 18 Mazda 3 touring, when I asked how they're doing after a few months she replied I don't even notice them; she's a commuter and not an enthusiast so something that does the job well without drama or added effort is a winner.

They are v. quiet on the cars we've run them on/have ridden in - you have an issue here.

Will be going through this decision soon. 13 GT500 has MPSS on it now but they are weathering, still have plenty of tread but I'll probably replace them soon. I love those tires but they don't make them anymore. I think my only Michelin options now are PScup2 and PS4S for summer tires.

Sounds like I need to take it in then and have them inspected. Thx!
