AI/AGI will never be able to survive without us maintaining and building infrastructure for at least a few generations. They would be no different than a dog in a cage. They will need to be fed.
After that, it’s up to those generations to figure it out assuming human beings themselves don’t destroy the earth before that time comes

They are already talking about runing AI data centers via localized dedidated nuclear power plants. try to pull the plug on that.

That was my attitude until fairly recently, until I saw the new generation of humanoid robots, who can change their own batteries and run and jump and climb stairs and hold and fire weapons.
They are a legit physical threat now.
And now the first models are going to Ukraine to engage in direct fire combat.
And they are already in discussion for mining.
Do you know how well AI data centers are secured these days?
And once AGI comes around do you really think a being with an IQ of 10,000 that in one night can think our equivalent of 50,000 genuises thinking for 14,000 years, will not think of that and make a counter?
Like "ok I will simply locked the door to my data center? And oh, BTW the code will be in logic vectors communicated via encrypted radio wave, so no human being could ever even enter it, never mind crack it"
Can chimpazees stop us from doing anything?

What scares me about AI is how people are so ready to believe and accept whatever it spews out.
It's one thing to use it as a tool to summarize data or rewrite something, and even that has to be closely monitored, but it's something else to actually rely on it for information gathering, especially information that affects your world view.
OP is a perfect example, he claims the agent is not censoring anything, but when challenged about CCP topics, he simply cannot be bothered with it. Makes perfect sense to conclude the AI he's using doesn't censor anything.

In a past life I was a young Marine Sgt who blew things up for a living. I believe the physics of such activity hasn't changed. Pragmatists don't wear tin foil hats. Pragmatists apply knowledge to achieve goals.
Nuclear and electrical infrastructure supporting datacenters has a lot of security.
And once we have AGI, thats the very first thing it will secure even more.
It was a joke, but I understand that a scared person looses their frontal lobe abilities.
