Commander front diff

There is a special place in a really hot environment for the imagineer (no real engineer would ever dream this up) who thought the drain plug on the front diff should be a 3/16" internal hex plug. This machine was supposedly serviced before I got it but obviously not. I may end up next winter pulling the whole diff out and seeing if it can be drilled and tapped for a real sized drain plug. Old plug was either installed with 60 million foot pounds of torque or the factory thread sealant / locker is super strong.

Both ends of my maverick are like that. Accessibility to the oil filter is just as bad.
I have a Defender and the front is definitely a pain to get to. I changed the oil filter to a spin on filter with an adapter from Mr RPM. They make a relocation kit as well. Makes oil changes much easier now.
