gimmick, gadget or great ?
i have just got a new ( to me ) 2003 HOLDEN ( G.M. AUSTRALIA ) VY SS ute
it has a 5.7 litre G.M. engine, 6 speed manual box etc
the air intake runs from behind the headlight to the airbox and filter, then to the engine
it is factory standard, but i have just fitted a FRAM AIR HOG washable filter to it
our year round temps range from about 6 degrees C to a summer max of about 44 degrees C, averaging about 18-30
so is it worth while adding an aftermarket cold air system to the vehicle or not ?
P.S. it may be getting modded in the future, eg headers, maff-less tune etc, but prolly bolt on stuff only
thanks in advance, johnny
