Coastal Full Synthetic 10w30

Though of running Coastal Full Synthetic when my oil change is due this time. I have Mobil 1 10w30 SL in their right now and I saw the new data sheets for the new SM and it looks really thin, thinner than their 5w30 Mobil 1. I have a copy of their product data sheet for Coastal Full sythetic it looks pretty good. Has anyone else run Coastal's Full synthetic? What did you think of it? I have run Coastal's dino in the past and enjoyed the results.

I basically want to be able to safely go 6months/6000miles OCIs. I never really got a good response when I asked if a DINO good go that far. Can it? Would I just as well benefit sticking with DINO? The reason I want to try a different oil is that I feel Mobil 1 one is on the thin side and it makes my truck have start up noise just everyone complains about here. What do you think.

Kinda hard to get my hands on around here. Been to two of my local Walmarts here where I am at and they don't carry Full Synthetic ST. So I go to Autozone and look around there because they are just as close you know.

I would venture to guess that it all is very similar if not the same. But, that is just a guess.

Rob, That's not correct. Coastal=Warren Unilube, no affiliation with WPP, Warren Performance, who supplies much of the SuperTech conventional and all of the Super Tech blend and Super Tech synthetic at Wal-Mart.

TF, the Wal-Mart in Peachtree City has SuperTech synthetic 10w30 in the gallon jugs. I believe it sells for $11.88 per gallon. I rarely go to the Wal-Mart in Newnan so I can't comment on their current stock.

If I were making a decision between Coastal and Supertech synthetic I'd choose the SuperTech due to the impressive lists of qualifications printed on the label.

My big complaint with Coastal is the "compare to Havoline" label. Threw me for a while, I think that's misleading.

I went to walmart the other day does it make a difference that it says higher mileage formula? My Ranger is only 2000 with only 41000 miles on it? I mean the seal conditioners might be a good thing you know.

WM's full synthetic 10w30 is labled "higher mileage". The 5w30 full synthetic is labeled "for newer cars" (or some such). Don't worry about it - if you normally prefer a 10w30, it'll work just fine.
