I bought a budget brand 15w40 mineral oil from the local Carrefour supermarket here.

I'm well aware that there are clear base oils and that a 15w40 would require little VIIs but it seems odd that additives wouldn't add some color to the base oil?.

Hopefully it has additives 🤔

Fake oils pretty much always tend to leave out the dash. It doesn't say 15w-40. I honestly doubt it has additives even if it claims SL. Also can't find any info on it online. The front also screams fake chinese junk with how it looks.

The labels don't include the JASO registration mark which is a strong marketing feature. Also, the oil is not on the JASO list of registered oils.

It has a highly flammable warning, with (as has been said) Precaution spelled wrong... Cooking oil is flammable, don't see that on the bottle.

.8L??? That's ~.85 qts. LOL.

What oil has that warning for a "flash fire", L O freaking L.

store at temperatures below 49C, engine oil runs twice that hot so I would be afraid to use it.

It's real, not sure I would want to use something unknown in the USA. That 49c reference seems odd.
Anyway the company is Kuwait Petroleum and the website presents quite an extensive list of oils. Also there website is in many languishes

With all the above said I would throw it away ;)
I might feel better if what you posted showed up on their website and then I saw this from a few years back. I dont know if some are bootlegging the company name or if this is the company.

That can be true even with big brand name motorcycle oils, like Valvoline, Castrol, etc. No official JASO logo on the bottles. Most of the bike manufactures bottled oil have the official JASO logo on the bottle.
