Fast 505 Degreaser from ZEP works wonders, even at 50/50. We use this stuff to clean machines at work. It will make you choke your head off though if inhaled. I have used Bleche White, but only as a last resort. I think Black Magic bought them out.
Westley's still uses the Bleche-Wite name in industrial settings, but as you say, Black Magic does it for the retail stuff. Someone cleaned my sink with the original Bleche-Wite once, and it did a better job than the products designed for the task.
Not up here unfortunately! I haven't seen it for years. As was touched upon, the name has been bounced around a little bit, and the name is used for commercial car wash chemicals, at least up in Canada. Of course, that doesn't mean there isn't a retail product licensed with the name up here any longer; I just haven't come across it in a very long time.
I do not think, besides commercial pressure wash stations, I have ever used anything besides Bleche - Wite in about twenty years of cleaning cars. This may all change since I abhor the name of who took over Westley. Is it SOPUS no? Or ItW, I do not remember.
But anyway, if living without the Bleche-Wite, i would probably try some soaps, purple cleaner or citrus products. Or call up a tire manufacturer and ask.
I don't know. I'd have to look at some labels, but I'm pretty sure that up here in Canada, at least, Zep has the rights. They bought the car wash business portion of Ecolab. I believe that covered the actual chemicals, plus any distribution rights to products not made by Ecolab themselves.
