2015 Forester has heated front seats that need cleaning.

I was planning to spray Folex and then vacuum with a carpet cleaner but with no water. I don't know what extra care I should take not to damage the heating element.

Any suggestions/advice?

Thanks

Unless you plan on soaking the seat in copious amount of water you really don't have to worry about the heating element. It's like a heating pad.

The heating elements are fairly water insensitive. The OPDS sensor in the passenger seat, to detect a passengers weight, is not. Be very careful getting the passenger seat wet.

The other issue besides the chance of damaging seat electronics, is stain wicking.

Use too much moisture and a stain can come right back. As the seat cover dries, it pulls moisture from the foam and stains may reappear.

I personally use microfiber pads on my DA
This is a good idea but I don't have a DA polisher or buffer. Not too sure rubbing a microfiber towel with my hand will yield similar results

This looks to be a good option. I guess I can dry vacuum afterward.
