Running any good oil will allow an engine to last (syn, blend, or dino - well now days they are all actually blends ...).
Out here, it won't outlast the car. I have two in the back yard from the 1970's (truck & car) that have outlasted a bunch of engines. But good oil will help the engine last a long time
Selling both to get a new project later this summer (pre-smog Jeep CJ) that will get my fresh built 283 SBC. If I don't roll it or wreck it in the rocks, that engine will run close to 200,000 with a carb and any good oil. It'll likely get Chevron Delo 400 15w30 SD for heat resistance, but it run longer than my attention span in any case ...
