Clank noise on girlfriends 2010 Mazda 3

Hey everyone, my girlfriend has been concerned with this noise that happens at startup... We found a video of the exact same sound, and wondering if somebody could lead us to what it may be:

Note: The noise seems to come when the AC is on when the car is on, but I cant confirm that 100% yet.

That sounds like the AC compressor clutch or some such. You can hear the AC fan come on after that noise.

Haha, wow. I turned my volume up to make sure I could hear it. Alright kid talking, starts up fine, sounds fine, then BAM.

My friend has already had the AC clutch replaced twice his 2010 Mazda 3. I don't know if it sounded like this or not. I will link him the video and tell you what he says. But I definitely agree with JRed on this.

I had my friend watch the video and he says that's what it sounded like when the AC clutch was going. Also:

"if you reved it while stationary and turned on the ac it would chirp too ... and driving along using it it'd chirp every time it engaged"

He went on to say that:
"also the problem with the ac is old mazda 3 had [censored] ac so they put a bigger one in but its too big for the engine now"

The dealer replaced it for him under warranty both times, you should be able to have that done as well.

Thanks guys! She was going to tell the dealer about it, but wanted me to look into it first. Hopefully they don't play stupid now and can not "recreate" the noise.

Don't really care much about what the dealer(or service writer) comment about it (more like an observation/rant) so long as they agreed to replace it under warranty.
