The problem is the origin of the base stocks used to make the product.

The whole thing with T Boone and Gulf still gets me upset to this day. Not to mention the current situation and the "looney" ownership....What a sad end to another great American company.

Johnny, you and me both. Every night when I say prayers, I pray that this is all a bad dream, and it will be 1957, car hops, drag races on country roads, no nanny systems in our cars, women who wore dresses and looked goooood. And I could list many more.

A new and very bright/clean 7-11 gas station near where I shop with Citgo sign had no customers for several months, the owner removed Citgo sign last year and now there are some customers.

Many of us refuse to buy anything from Citgo because it is controlled by an American hater.

Johnny, could you copy and paste the PM you sent Andy, i would like to know this as well. I didnt even know Citgo was taboo.

The gasoline and oil is made from very "sour crude." It is a reasonable product, however, the main problem is the ownership of the company and its' supply lines for the gasoline and oil. I would not buy anything from Citgo, and have not since it is owned by the current foreign owner. I used to buy the gasoline a long time ago, and the Nissan dealership, where I bought my Nissan new, used the oil 10w30 when I had the oil changed, that was the last time I went to the dealership. My Nissan calls for 5w30 not 10w30.

I think it shouldn't be too controversial to just state the fact: Citgo is currently owned/controlled by the government of Venezuela.
