Anyone know who currently makes Harvest King oil?
I remember at one point it was Citgo but I seem to remember it was being made by someone else more recently.

I haven't seen that in some time. It was the house brand for Rural King, but they changed over to Providence a few years ago.
Where are you seeing HK oils now?

Atwood's carries Harvest King fluids. When I was looking for GL5 diff fluid recently, their prices were unmatched by even SuperTech.

Around 2018 I used the Harvest King 5w-30 SN in a 2013 Nissan Rogue. I want to say it was around 2$ a quart every day price at the time.

Runnings Stores carry it as their house brand.
(To those that aren't familiar, Runnings is like a Tractor Supply on steroids, about 2-3 times the size of TSC.
Mostly located in Northern states from Montana to New Hampshire)

I cannot tell you who makes their products now.

I can say that I ran some garage experiments with HK fluids. I ran them in my two MGMs (4.6L) against Peak full-syn fluids. And the HK conventional lubes did every bit as well in returning "normal" wear, even with 10k mile OCIs!

Assuming HK fluids are still API approved, I'd say they're certainly fit for use.

One opened here a couple years ago in an empty Sam's club building, great selection of clothing, tools, sporting goods etc. I bought my Stihl 500i there because they had one on the shelf and all the local Stihl dealers at the time were struggling get them and had a waiting list.

Yeah, the one in my town opened in an old Kmart building. That seems to be their preferred business model, opening up in shuttered box stores like Kmart and Walmart.
It's one of my favorite stores to visit, quite a good selection of " guy stuff"!

Ours is in n our mall. They took the whole end space where our SEARS is at. Bought the tire and auto building seats had as well; use that for overstock and equipment.

IDK but I still have a ton of HK fully synthetic 10w30 and 5w30 in the silver container from Tractor Supply.
I cleaned them out when they were on clearance + 50% off after Christmas several years back. IIRC each 5qt jug was like 4.50 and the Castrol Edge was 5.50 a jug, something like that. No complaints so far.
