LOL As soon as I saw he heading to this thread Belinda Carlisle's voice instantly started singing that song.

She is a really good singer. Too bad her career didn't go further than it did.

I gotta disagree, Mark. The Go-Go's and Scandal (that genre - stuff like Kim Wilde ) captured perfectly the essence of the times. You were just around 10 years too old to get in on the fun. So was I

Hmm..doesn't do it for me. A little too electronic. I don't think the secret was female bands ..but more female vocalists (or singers if that's all that they really were). This music was for "The Breakfast Club" teenagers not disco migrants.
