Gotta love the pride in the workers and the stance of the UAW.

The unfortunate thing is that these few morons ruin the reputation of Chrysler and the good people that care and work there.

HHHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHAAA!!!!! ROTF LMAO.....HHHHAAAAHHHA. Did my tax dollars pay for the weed or beer??? SHAME SHAME..I KNOW YOUR name..Chrysler.. I don't buy their sub-par products and never will... supporting their habits...

Kudos to the plant workers for policing themselves and turning in their co workers, a very few rotten apples spoiling the barrel.

Ha, that was the second thing I thought-nice Mustang! The first one is that the fact that they're driving afterwards is of a more concern to me than the fact that they're building cars.

It is a shame that the actions of a few people make everyone look bad. It's not real exciting though to picture someone, well, eating lunch on their lunch break.

Red, Yesteryear?
Wasn't that filmed recently? They are still [censored]... 05 ram Hemi with alternator replacements, a water pump replacements, burns out light lamps every 2 months or so. A dash with a blend door that failed and dodge wanted $1100 to fix it. A power window replacement and a rear end rebuild. It has ONLY 68k MILES [censored]....Just buy an F150.... This dodge(s) are JUNK!!

While I havent driven an "American" car in a long time (most foreign cars are being made in USA now) and im not a fan of the UAW either, this is a case of a few morons ruining the entire company image.
Good job for employees turning in their own for acting like a bunch of idiots.

The problem is that when these 'bad apples' are identified and suspended the union will defend them. The union probably has a fund to help suspended members.
Unions are needed BUT they need to understand that some things are indefensible.

Now you know why!! You would never see me in a chrysler product. Working on them is about as close as i want to get

I also agree with dust. my MIL has had her POS jeep to the dealer for window issues more time then I can count. BIL is dropping is 05 1500 off tomorrow for blend door and service light. only 39k on his truck and 62k on MIL Liberty. All manufactures have some flaws but I can tell you some horror stories on chrysler

Good for the workers who turned in their illegal-drug-using co-workers. It shows that when folks have some pride, they'll not put up with yahoos.

Looking forward to the cars that the remaining, non-drug-using Chrysler workers will bring forth.

It's good to see the workers recognize that tolerating such nonsense puts their jobs in jeopardy.

Someone stoned or otherwise impaired could at the very least mess up on some cars, costing future sales. At worst, get themselves or someone else either on the line or a customer hurt or killed.

Inexcusable behavior true... but also ancient history. And even posted here a long time ago. Might as well dig up stores about GM workers in the 70s throwing loose nuts and bolts inside car doors to make rattles as a protest against management. Or Toyota management of the 80s selling cars at a loss in North America to get a toehold in the market and begin the long trek of establishing their "quality" myth (read 'Rising Sun' by Michael Crichton sometime... "Business is war" after all.)

Actually, if you watch the story, not so ancient. It was a recurrence after it happened before. Different plant, same drill.

I don't want to work alongside someone who is stoned, buzzed, etc. I don't want to share the roads with them as they rush back to the plant after having the equivalent of two or more drinks in a short period of time.

If they need help, then get help. If they can't make it through a shift without having a few drinks at lunch, then get the help needed to find a more healthy way to cope.

Ditto for the guy who hasn't had a valid D/L since 1993/1994, but drives to the plant every day after having a couple of 20+ oz beers in the lot BEFORE his shift.

If the folks working for Chrysler want to beat their competition, they do realize that business is war, and you can't fight to win if you are buzzed.

Back in the day, you'd get fired from Ford if you or anyone in your house owned any car except a Ford.

So people should just turn their back on this type of moronic and childish behavior? Sorry, but this cannot help Chrysler's workforce image at all. I hope they all get fired and give jobs to people who will appreciate a good paying full time job. I know that Chrysler is not the only manufacturing plant to have this type of behavior but it still is not an excuse. It is this type of behavior that gives the UAW a bad name.
