Chrysler filters

The OEM MOPAR I have for my 2012 Charger SXT looks almost identical to the Purolator equivalent, but it isn't that far off off the WIX I have either so I wish I could help. It appears to look like a fairly quality filter but I am not that familiar with cartridge filters. The Mobil 1 cartridge filters are great so I can't wait until they make an equivalent.

The US filters are made by Purolator, and closely resemble a Classic. The main exception is it has a coil spring bypass valve at the thread end vs. a flat spring bypass valve at the dome end. Good filters, but probably not worth the cost compared with something like a Purolator Pure One.

The only reason I'd buy one (and I used to myself) is if I were already in Walmart and didn't want to make another stop at a different store.

So why do you feel they resemble a classic more then a PureoOne?

Someone cut one open and posted on here if I remember correctly.

The Mopar M090 (I think) I keep on hand for my sister-in-law's Jeep has the signature oval inlet holes of a Purolator. The price is good at Wally's so I don't see any reason to use anything else.

The Chrysler filter that the dealer put on the '07 Town and Country when it was traded in is clearly a Wix. I was expecting it to be a Purolator, but it is not.

This was a dealer in the Chicago area.
