Of the three 5W30 conventional oils ive listed which would you choose and why?

GTX, No real reason just good rep.
Motorcraft, Has a large percentage of GII+ GIII hydrocracked product, sirtually no GI i am lead to believe.
Followed by Chevron, just cause I have good experience with Chevron products, and GTX last since I ran that overpriced stuff in high school and now have grown up.

Just one?? Ouch.. I am struggling with about the same selection but throwing Tropartic in with the Motorcraft.
Right now GTX is 1.19 at Pep boys but that's with rebate. If you can stock up on one for cheap then thbat's the choice I would make. I like all of them alot but my favorite right now would be the CP made Motorcraft.

Oil is oil, just buy the cheapest.
I'm not a big GTX fan......but when Target had it mispriced for 48 cents, I managed to get 10 quarts. If it wasn't under a $1, I doubt I would of bought it.
Any GF4 SM rated oil will be good for 6K miles.

Why? i like Motorcraft and love the price, GTX is decent but more expensive, and never used chevron b4.

You mean to tell me that you didn't bring to the attention of the sales manager, that one of his employees mispriced the merchandise causing irreparable damage to Target's corporate earnings?
Even being in the land of 49 cent Chevron and 79 -89 Castrol or Valvoline which ever they are runnin on sale, and having used these oils previously, they were ok for 3000 miles due to my conditions and applications of use. Some left deposits on the bottom of the pcv valve, and others had some valvetrain noise after a 1000 miles while others developed the same noise the closer I came to next oil change. Little over a year and a half ago went back to Motorcraft and haven't looked back, same with the wifes vehicle, tried the dino's and now it's on it's first fill of T/A. I'll pay 16 bucks for oil and filter in a 5000 mile OCI for what I percieve as working the best for my applications.
Motorcraft. It's priced well, easy to find, it's what Ford originally put in my truck and I know for sure it will meet their standards. I have recently started using Havoline though since it is easier to find Havoline 5W30 in 5 quart containers, it's even cheaper than Motorcraft, and it claims to meet Ford's WSS-M2C929-A standard (same as Motorcraft 5W30). Since I have 3-4K mi OCIs, I'm not really concerned about the fact that the Havoline is not a synthetic blend.
In anycase, I'd use whatever is on sale. I have used all but the Chevron, and I have TA in the Explorer and Exxon Superflo in the Grand Am. No complaints in either vehicle. My stash includes the Superflo, TA, SuperTech conventional, and yesterday I bought a case of Pennzoil Conventional on sale at AdvanceAuto for $1.68 a qt. I WISH I could find the .49 cent sales for Formula Shell, because it would be instantly added to my stash lol.
Just for the sake or argument, I've read that Ford initially put Shell motor oil in your car. Motorcraft (Made by Conoco-Phillips) just makes the non-OEM fill stuff (so the rumor goes). However the Motorcraft is good, and i use it too!

I'd pay 10 cents more for the Chevron over the Castrol, and another 10 cents more for the Motorcraft over the Chevron. Laughably, the Castrol would probably cost the most of the three.
The ConocoPhillips base oils from the Excel Paralubes plant are only GRP II, and actually a rather low 95-97 VI index.
Not throwing stones at this product, just pointing out that the addition of Grp III is helping boost the performance of a lower grade Grp II base oil.
I agree with the Motorcraft selection, but also would suggest that TropArtic seems to be the same oil at a lower price. $1.48 Synthetic blend is hard to beat.
IMO the rebate hassle with Pep Boys is not worth the cheap price, but that's just me....
