Chevy Traverse?

Are transmissions known issues on these? A rebuild prior to 90,000 miles...if that's a trend, that's similar to the track record the Honda Odyssey had in the early 2000s time frame.

My father has an '11 Traverse 1LT, and he really likes it. Good power, smooth transmission, and pretty roomy when the back seats are folded down.

So far, he's only had the water pump replaced under warranty. It does like to wear the tires poorly, so be prepared to rotate them more often like every oil change (6k miles). The get pretty bad heel and toe patterns, and then get pretty loud at highway speed. And they are a odd size, so there's not many choices in the market.

And yes, they found the dumbest possible place to put the oil filter and it dumps oil all over the lower front motor mount. It's also stuck up around the exhaust manifold, so there's a good chance you'll get your forearm burned. I'm 6'2" and need a step ladder to get up high enough to get the best angle to reach it and remove it. Thanks GM!
