Chevron Synthetic 10W30 ??

What do you know about this oil. I have seen it for the first time at my Grocery store. They carry Delo,Chevron Supreme adn Chevron Synthetic motor oils. They are selling it for $3.78. Is it a GIII or is it a PAO?

I tryed searching "Chevron Synthetic and got very little useful information. I stoped after the 50th dead end!

If you look at the specs online, it looks pretty good. A bit on the thin side, but it has great cold cranking and pour point/flash point (although not as good as Valvoline Synpower 10w30). I recall also seeing that it had a low HT/HS of around 2.9 (same as Syntec 10w30).

My local King Sooper stores have it for only $3.49. They also have the 5w-40 Supreme synthetic for 3.99.

As to Group 3 or 4, I think back in the day, it had a fair bit of PAO, but is probably group 3 now.

Chevron Texaco Data Sheets

Also compare with Havoline Synthetic 10w30 (virtually the same), as the Chevron data sheets list CCS 10w @ -20C instead of -25C. That way, you can compare it to other oils, which are listed @ -25C
