Audi Junkie I think that was CI4 which had kind of a weak add pack compared to CI4+. One of my used oil analysis of CI4+ in a heavy Diesel. I have no idea why anyone would want to change it in 5000 miles though.

Where are all the big-mouths that came here with a big chip on their shoulder from the BMW forums saying that nothing except BMW synthetic oil is acceptable? You know who you are. Not much to say about the MaxLife in M3 used oil analysis either.

Nice report Jimbo. Its nice to see the M50 engine returned low wear numbers. I too have a 1992 325i w/ 179k, the car doesn't show smoke out of the tailpipe, nor does it consume alot of oil even with the high rpm use I put it through, so I say you have many more miles to put on your engine. I am currently running Castrol Syntec 5w-50. The diesel oil is an attractive option for price and grade.

For filters, I normally like purolator, I even used it last season, but their drop in element for our car is made in india and I wanted to have (in my opinion) a better construction, so I payed more than double for a Bosch filter
