Chevron Delo ESI 15/40

I just noticed Chevron offers a 15/40 ESI " Extended Service Interval" with the same basic data sheet except a tad lower pour point,a little higher TBN ect.

Have any of you used this oil before ?

I wonder what is different in this oil? More additives I could see but could they be using a Ester as well?

dragboat, The Delo 400 ESI has been out for a couple of years. It has a TBN of 12.5 and sufated ash content 1.5. I do not know what is in it and I was going to get some to have it tested back in 2000, but it was only available in 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums so I did not buy any. mikeyoilnutt

This product is no longer available. It was specifically associated with "qualified" buyers that were combining used oil analysis (that Chevron reviewed) and extended drains (sound familiar?). Any stuff still around is "new old stock".
