Chevrolet HHR Questions

Taking a quick look at craigslist shows the 2007 going for around 10K.
I like the HHR from what I have read and seen. Have not driven one though. My only question is how comfortable it is on the highway? I have a 98 Taurus that is decent on the highway. Just don't know how the HHR compares to it.

I like the looks way better than the PT Cruiser. Plus I have read the PTs don't get as much MPG as the HHR.

The Ecotec engine in these is great, and the 4 speed tranny is bulletproof.

Automatic?

Yes, the 4T45E automatic transmission

I know someone who has an HHR and is pleased with it.

One thing I suspect contributing to "lousy sales" etc. Is that I never recall seeing any advertising for the HHR. I knew it existed, I've seen a few, but with todays society, the only people who will own one with that type of exposure are people who are immediately drawn to them, you need to market the darn things in order to get them to sell to the average buyer.... Like the panther has been for a while now (lack of marketing that is). People who know about the car and like it for what it is buy it, with the lack of advertising push, the average buyer is not going to give a second look at one.

Alex.

Yeah, but you still have to live with the Cobalt, which is not even close to a VW or a Honda as a real drive it everywhere all the time car.
The platform is okay, but it is far from world class.

I'm 6'3" and I deal with it just fine. If your looking for a car with excellent vision and few blind spots, the HHR is not for you.

Like you say, the HHR is not easy to see out of, but it's the price you pay for the look it has.
