Recently had a code for the check engine set off in my 1996 GMC Jimmy. turns out it came up as a low voltage on the TPS. changed the sensor and noticed that the truck was running better and the light was off. few days later the check engine light came back on. took the truck to the mechanic that inspects it and he said the code was low voltage on the TPS. he reset it and tested the TPS and said it was reading the proper voltage and if the light comes back on it would seem to be a wiring problem. the great news is he did not charge me. looked for the part on Rock auto but not exactly sure what the culprit could be. the only wire I could find was a throttle position sensor connector. seems like that this part may be needing replacement AcDelco Part # PT2319 . the part has a connector on one end but does the other end need to be hard wired in or does it have a connector . any other wires I should be looking at ?
