About 6 years ago I bought 24 quarts of Pennzoil Marine 5W-40 oil at Walmart on closeout for $0.25 each. I got 48 quarts of Shell white bottle for $0.50 with rebate about 4 years ago. A good normal price for rebate oil is $1.00/qt for synthetic. I got 12 qts of Pennzoil free for Black Friday last year. I think I got some free oil and filters on rebate about 30 years ago.

A while back I bought 4 litre jugs of old castrol gtx 5w30 for 3 dollars. Walmart in Slave Lake, AB had Pennzoil 5w30 in 4.73 litre jugs for 6 bucks last weekend. I don't like to pay more than 2 bucks a litre for oil.

Yes, it seems as though it was about that long ago when I would buy Super Tech or T2K for $8.88/12 qts to $9.24/12 qts U.S. + tax.
I would buy W*M oil when I didn't have my, small at the time stash(1-2 cases).

Does anyone here remember when SuperTech was called Tech2000?

You bet! I worked for WM from 1994 to 2001, and that whole time it was called 'Tech 2000'.

It only chaged over to 'Super Tech' in Canada a couple of years ago...

I still see the odd tech2000 bottle in northern walmarts.

I've bought some good oils including Kawasaki MA oil for a dollar/quart. I'm happy with the 12 quarts of OW-2O penn platinum I just bought for $3/quart. I bought some pentosin ATF1 for $1.25liter, and some Elf Formula 1 brake fluid for $1/half liter. I got a gallon of Fleetrite TES-295 synthetic ATF for $5.
