Girlfriend's 14 year old Subaru had received a car wash per year before I met her about a year and a half ago. I have washed it about 6 times in that period and today decided to throw some NuFinish on it. After a car wash it just looked dull. NuFinish is cheap and easy to use and I had a somewhat full bottle sitting around. What a difference! I mean, still looks dinged and danged and scratched from all the parking lot abuse and such, but it actually shines through the scratches. I know there are better things to use, but for 30 minutes of elbow grease on an old car I felt bad for...are there better things to use?!?

They didn't test Collinite 845. It may not be a bad idea to write they and recommend to test it as it is highly regarded. I'd like them to test Klasse also as I also use that.

Here is what was tested in last test:

Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 G12718, Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus, 3M One Step Cleaner Wax, Meguiar's Cleaner Wax A1216, Mothers California Gold Carnauba Cleaner Wax 05701, Autoglym Super Resin Polish car wax, Mothers FX Synwax 20016 car wax , Zymol Z-503 car wax , Eagle One Gel Wax with Carnauba 705110, Mothers FX Synwax 20011 car wax , Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 G12711 , Mothers California Gold Carnauba Cleaner Wax 05500 ,
Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Plus G7014J car wax

From that list it looks like they only test things one can commonly get at Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.

I knew when I read the title what the content of this thread would be. Your GF's car sounds like the perfect subject to use NF on. I wouldn't put it on my car, but to each their own. To answer the question does CR test Collinite...the answer is no...they only seem to test products that are found in the stores. For some reason they will not test the stuff that can only be purchased online, I don't know why, but if they did I'm sure they'd find that the 845 looks better and lasts longer than NF, or any of the other store brands...

Try some Duragloss #101, made is the US, around $11, durable, doesn't stain trim. The last point being the most important to me. It's a true polish so will remove some spider-webbing. Their Swirl Mark Remover has even more bite along with a sealant for protection. It won't remove scratches, so need to buy buy their scratch remover or Megs Scratch-X.
