Cheap atf fluid often vs expensive fluid yearly?

I'm quite aware how much fluid you get out with a drain and fill and "why" people feel they need to do it so often.

Doesn't make it any less insane.

Given the reliability issues with Honda ATs, I'd be concerned deviating from their spec fluid. But the miles and use profile is important.

OK, so I'll ask you. What objective basis do you have to say that max life is higher quality?
 
Change it once every three years (30,000km) with a drain and fill. I do a drain and fill every 2 years with my wife's 97 civic using Maxlife.

For yours I'd use the DW1.
 
Max life is very good atf. Very affordable. Do whatever you want,it's just that simple!
