I'll have to read up on this ECVT. You are correct, well in regards to me anyway, I see the letters CVT in there and my defenses automatically come up.There is no belt and pulleys in a ECVT. It uses planetary gears. A ECVT is far different vs a CVT.
Many people see the acronym ECVT, confuse it with a CVT and are totally against it despite having no real world experience or knowing what it is.
There is no rubber band effect in a ECVT.
My wife had to buy a business travel car and recently bought a Corolla Hybrid. Her first car with an automatic transmission.
She goes over 500 miles on a tank and refills it with 9.X gallons. You won't regret getting a hybrid.
Since you are the EV. Correspondent.Would you prefer something original and catchy like, say, "Mustang Mach-E"?
Passing is not my concern on the lack of manual control. It is when I drive in hilly areas with lots of fairly steep short duration hills in my area. Just going to my GF's house there are about 40 of these type hills in 35 miles. On cruise control my truck will sometimes go down two gears in a 60 zone. When I lock out 6th it rarely downshifts and make for a much more pleasant drive.who cares it’s a fwd economy truck not a porsche pdk
just let the car drive itself and it’ll kick down in 0.00001 seconds if you need to pass
My autos have never kicked down that fast.just let the car drive itself and it’ll kick down in 0.00001 seconds if you need to pass
I had to go up to the Lariat to get nicer seats. Didn't like the basic ones.Get the trailer hitch anyways, might come in handy for something small. Only $100 option.
I cancelled my order after realizing I'd have to get a Lariat to get push button start.
If Ford equips these with their E-CVT they should be stone reliable. I have to say Ford seemly hit a home run with these. I just checked and can order one for $22K and some change including destination. That is a steal for what you get. Bravo Ford.NEVER any CVT's in my ownership + the only slush boxes were older classics i drove daily, surely could not pass a 20 thou 72 cutlass hardtop that still looked NEW in the late 90's, a great car thats still around as i sold it locally, a set of Budnick Famosa wheels really made it POP!!
See that's where I'm the opposite. I liked the denim seats, I didn't want cheap leather seats.I had to go up to the Lariat to get nicer seats. Didn't like the basic ones.
The pictures presented on the denims were bad. And the Lariat wasn't that expensive anyway.See that's where I'm the opposite. I liked the denim seats, I didn't want cheap leather seats.
Agreed and they don't drone and you never think of them as anything but a basic automatic. If Ford equips these with their E-CVT they should be stone reliable. I have to say Ford seemly hit a home run with these. I just checked and can order one for $22K and some change including destination. That is a steal for what you get. Bravo Ford.
Most people probably don't have much of a memory of those Mavericks, so I think it's pretty safe, if lazy. I bet they considered Courier, but decided Maverick sounded cooler. Maverick doesn't have nearly the negative connotation around it as Pinto. I wonder if they considered Falcon?I agree except the name is horiffic.
Mavericks were the pinnacle of mid seventies mediocrity, I mean just junk.
Ford must have saved a pretty penny in the marketing budget with the group that picked that name.
the entire country of australia would feel insulted and burn down their local ford dealer.I wonder if they considered Falcon?
