Champ XL PH2876XL cut open

2018 Nissan Rogue 2.5L about 50,000 MI, my friend/neighbor's vehicle I did an oil change on yesterday, it's been about 3,000 MI 1 year, Kirkland 0w-20 synthetic came out of it.

Kirkland 0w-20 synthetic went back in it
Along with a Champ PH2876XL oil filter.

She drives about 2 miles a day back and forth to work. Not enough time for the vehicle to warm up.. Filter looks nice, I'm thinking about running one on the next oil change on my Edge..

Look fine a 3k miles. I wonder though, is it much or even any different than a Super Tech MP series filter. This is the shorty 6607 equivalent. I use the 7317 and equivalents on 17 2.5L Rogue I help out with from time to time.

That's amazing if it's only driven a couple of miles at a time over 1 year and 3000 miles. Maybe it gets driven a time or two per week for farther then a few miles at a time to burn off all the collected water and fuel in the oil? A well operating PCV system helps a lot too.

I don't know my Walmart don't carry the MP series, what I can tell though from online, it's $2 more than RockAuto, but Rock Auto chargers shipping. I would love to try the MP series, for my Ford Edge, but it's only available in a shorty.

I think I'm going to go ahead and order a couple of them filters.. that's the second one I cut open that looked pretty decent for the money..
