Frosted Mini-Wheats at Winco 1 pound 2 ounces $2.21
Frosted Mini-Wheats at Costco 4 pounds 6 ounces $8.99

Which is a better deal ?

Neither. I'm allergic to wheat.

But if you need the math done

Winco is 18oz for $2.21, so .1227 cents per ounce. (or 8.14 oz/dollar)

Costco is 70oz for $8.99, so .1284 cents per ounce. (or 7.78 oz/dollar)

Winco by a hair.

Seriously? You can't add up the number of ounces in each example, and then divide the price by number of ounces to get the price per ounce to use as a baseline for comparison?

Things like that were third grade math.

Figure your gas or transportation costs along with those savings if you have to go a few Ike's between one or the other, pick the closest one to you.

We have all the prices listed per kg (in fine print) here as well, so it makes it easy to compare. Lots of deceptive packaging sizes but the per unit price solves that [censored].

Usually at our local Costco, they have price listed per lb or ounce, which is very helpful!

Not sure if they do it at all Costcos? Costco might be cheaper in the long run, if you have executive membership.

Third grade spelling must be a challenge too. Mathmatics?

It is pretty sad that someone would have to post this on a forum because they can't figure something as simple as this out for themselves!

You guys take Merk too serious. I think he sometimes likes to poke people with a stick, and start a discussion, regardless of topic.

Merk is one of the people here who makes this forum enjoyable,he's one of my favorite members here.

Oh,and I LOVE Frosted Mini Wheats (adds Frosted Mini Wheats to my grocery list). I can eat an entire box in one sitting haha

Likely the smaller box even at slightly higher cost per ounce. Why unless you have a massive family 4lbs of cereal will spoil and not be enjoyable or in trash by the time you finish it.

I dislike buying in bulk....

That E is silent in mathematics so why even have it there ?

Besides, spell check don't work in the title box.

Yeah frosted mini wheats! One of favorite quick easy breakfasts, a pile of frosted mini wheats and a pile of sliced bananas and lots of java.

Another useless Merk thread.....

I think he gets his jollies on how many pages of response he gets.
