Location
Out where the buses don't run
It stays on the dashboard for a day then falls down again. I've cleaned the mounting area with a damp rag and tried different locations but the same thing happens. Any tips? I can't put it on the windshield since that's against the law in my state.

They have little discs that adhesive mount to the dash that you then suction onto. Had one on the dash of my neon for a while, but when I eventually removed it, it took the colored layer of the dash pad with it....

There are also the sandbag mounts that have a similar disc in the middle, whole thing stays in place with their weight and non skid base.

Instead of a damp rag, spit into the suction cup first. But it will eventually fall off, no matter what you do. Esp after sitting in hot sun for a few days.

I also bought a little 2 Inch by about 1/16 thick disk that had an adhesive backing. I've had it for two years now and holds my Garmin secure for weeks at a time. I think I ordered it from Amazon. Ed

On the expensive side, this company makes a good mount

I was able to get a tool-less "permanent" mount for my '03 Acura TL-S.

I've always used suction cup mounts, but eventually the cup wears out
and starts by falling down sometime after applied.
