Congratulations fellow citizen. I have attended two of those ceremonies at the Federal Courthouse in St Louis. They are very moving. In St Louis each new citizen stands at the invitation of the judge(a Missouri Supreme Court Judge-Retired) and states their name, country of origin, and something about themselves. People from all over the world. It is emotional and uplifting. Both times I left the ceremony in a great mood, renewed in hope for our country's future.
I went for friends, but would go again for the inspiration, should I ever need to reaffirm my faith that our country will continue to be a beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world.
I was 12 when I got my citizenship, i never went through or saw any of that, maybe my parents did.
I have been around the world, I absolutely hate it anywhere but usa, I think I'm a spoiled american, but a very very proud one at that. Most Americans don't realize how lucky they are, this is truly the land of opportunities.
