Caterpillar brand oil, Who makes it?

A friend of mine came by my shop the other day and he and I we were talking oil for our Powerstrokes. He said he can give me gallons of CAT brand oil that a friend of his gave him. Who makes this oil? It came from a Cat service truck. Thanks.

Caterpillar has a worldwide contract for blending their formula oils with Mobil. Up til about 10 years ago they used different blenders, even around the US. Then they decided to go with one company. But they still do not produce the same oil in all countries. The Mobil plant in Chile is usually 1 API clasification behind the US, and the Peru plant is usually 2 gererations behind.

the CAT synthetic is actually rebadges Delvac 1....but tough to get hold of.

CAT also rebadges 1300 super and it even says that on the jug.
