Knowing Kia has a 100,000 mile 10 year powertrain warranty I noticed a number of KIA Soreteno's coming onto the used car market with over 10 years or over 100,000 miles. I also recall issues on KIA engines in general, with replacement engines being mentioned.

1. What is the general thought on the Sorentos that are past the 10 year warranty.
2. If an engine was replaced would you tend to trust the new engine for say 100,000 future miles.
3. If you have any other input I would appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks.

2012-2019 used the Theta 2 2.4' and 2.0L, so avoid those. My son didn't listen and got a Santa Fe with the theta 2 2.4L. At 80K, so fingers crossed. I use Valvoline restore and protect, and that's all I will use going forward. Will it save it? Who knows....engine is clean though.

The 2.5s have been reliable overall. Hyundai has had some fuel injector quality issues and I assume Kia has as well. Dct in the turbos are still occasionally failing but that's gone for 26.
