Cataract Surgery

Trav, they will be doing an in the arm IV. What is they inject?
After my leg was amputated l had to stay in the hospital for a few days. They injected Dilaudid into my IV. I was floating around the room!
If l had to pick a drug to to be addicted to, it would be Dilaudid!
In the back of the hand. Its not a strong substance just relaxes you a bit, no wake up all groggy you are awake. recovery time is 20 min or less, they gave me coffee and a muffin.

I know, I'm full of questions.
My surgeries are 2 weeks apart. For those of you that had each eye done apart like what I'm having, what was it like to see very well from one eye while the other eye still had a cataract in it? Were you able to adjust until the other eye was done? Were you able to drive?
Any input is greatly appreciated! (3 more days until my 1st surgery-left eye)

Your dominate eye (the one that sees better) will take over and you'll still be able to see. Could put a pirate patch on the weak eye if you want to make the good eye do the work.

Are you sick of the eye-drops yet?! 😂🤣
Not yet. But, I'm becoming an expert though. 😁
I went to my Dr. for the post op appt. today and she said my eye looks perfect. I read the eye chart and my vision is now 20/60. She told me not to worry because after my next surgery I will be 20/20. I can't wait!
It's amazing how well everything looks after surgery. And, how much detail was missing.

Good luck to you.
You know I was going to say something but I refrained. Lol
Take it easy.

Why are they called HABS? Is that their mascots name? The Lightnings mascot name is THUNDERBUG.

Habs is short for Habitants, the affectionate name for the Montreal Canadiens. Early French Canadians were referred to as Habitants. They were peasant farmers. Some people think the H on their uniform stands for Habitants (Habs) but really is stands for “ Hockey”. But anyway, Go Habs!

My ancestors came from France in the 1700's to settle in Nova Scotia.
From NS they settled in Pointe Coupee Parish in La. 1770 They were Acadian French, which are now called Cajuns.
My last name goes back to 1423 France.
My mother, whom was German, her maiden name went back to 1511 Germany.
So, l might have some Canadian blood in me, ay?
